Google updates their mobile Weather site, feels more ‘appish’

Today, Google announced via their Google Mobile Blog that they have just updated their mobile Weather search page. The update is definitely a refinement to the former weather search page and makes Google mobile weather results feel more like a native app than something in the browser. If you go to your browser and search for ‘weather’ you will be presented with the new styling.

TeleNav brings big updates to Android navigation app

For the people who prefer Telenav to Google Maps for their turn-by-turn directions, a new update is premiering today. TeleNav, which powers AT&T and Sprint Navigator, is available today only for AT&T customers

Pocket God Now in Android Market, Huge and Buggy

The popular Ngmoco iOS game Pocket God is now available in the Android market. I was a big fan of this game back when I had an iPhone, but so far the Android port is a bit of a mixed bag.

Samsung Continuum product guide reveals more info on Ticker screen

The Samsung Continuum is expected to make its official debut at a launch event tonight, but the product guide was posted to Verizon’s website a wee bit early. We we just spotted a couple of screens that tell us more about the Continuum’s “Ticker Display” at the bottom of the phone

There are times when discussions become sidetracked because the participating parties fail to understand or misappropriate the definition of key terms that affect the issue. Android is one of those cases because people tend to speak of the always vague and evolving “spirit of open.” Open source is not a spirit; it’s a term and license form that fosters innovation through shared knowledge. It means that developers and software creators make the core of their production materials (code) freely available to others.
