One of my favorite things about Google Search is that it’s smart enough to recognize and fix mistakes. Smart enough to know that a search for ‘Skrillac tour dates’ should be corrected as ‘Skrillex tour dates’ instead.

I know that most technology enthusiasts in the US couldn’t even consider parting ways with their favorite carrier, be that AT&T, Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile, but a bunch of smaller regional carriers have been popping out lately and they seem keen on catching up with the big guys in the near future. One of these small carriers, US Cellular, has just announced the launch of its first LTE-enabled tablet, making a very important step forward in attracting a serious audience. Not only that, but their choice for the first ever 4G LTE slate is in my opinion perfect, as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is currently one of the most popular premium Android 10-inchers.

Ah, Valentine’s Day – the magical day when people put in that extra effort to make their significant other happy. Sure, you might be a cynic who’s above the commercialism of a tenant of human interaction, but plenty of people would love nothing more than to be fawned over on Tuesday night.

As a follow up to yesterday’s warning from Symantec about the threat of Android.Counterclank , Lookout Mobile Security came out with a more nuanced perspective on the Apperhand SDK central to the issue. Unlike Symantec, they don’t go as far as to consider it malware, since it is not specifically engaging in malicious behaviour or stealing personal information, but they do consider it an aggressive form of ad network that you should think twice about permitting on your device. They actually said that it is actually less aggressive than a similar one distributed in June 2011 that collected more private data.
