LG today introduced its latest software by announcing the LG Optimus UI 3.0. The newer version of LG’s custom user interface is based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and is part of the Korean manufacturer’s efforts to better compete with its rivals. The long wait for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is finally ending this week for customers of T-Mobile’s HTC Sensation 4G. T-Mobile USA has updated its support forums to reveal that beginning on May 16 (Wednesday), a software update will roll-out to the Sensation. That update will be the long-awaited upgrade to Android 4.0.3.

HBO Go – which offers on-demand streaming of HBO’s massive video library, including new episodes of popular shows for anyone with a subscription to the channel – is one of the best apps on Android. But the greatness of the app was previously unavailable because it didn’t support Android phones running Ice Cream Sandwich. Today, HBO has addressed the problem and added support for phones up to Android 4.0.4

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich hasn’t caught on with many devices. Unless you have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Asus Transformer Prime, or taken matters into your own hands and uploaded a ICS-based custom ROM, there’s a good chance you’ve yet to see how much better is the latest version of Android.

T-Mobile USA has confirmed that it will launch the HTC One S next week. America’s fourth-place carrier, in the midst of some brand reinvention , hopes that a $199 price tag and promise of 4G HSPA+ will make this an attractive phone to customers.
