LG Optimus 4X HD heading to Europe in June, gets spec bump in battery life and now media features

LG has officially confirmed that the Optimus 4X HD, unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February, will go on sale in Europe next month. The Optimus 4X will launch in key Western European markets beginning in June. There was no list of countries that will support the sale, but we can reasonably assume the United Kingdom is among those “key markets” considering that the news comes courtesy of the official UK blog for LG

T-Mobile USA HTC Sensation gets Android 4.0 this week, HTC Amaze to follow in “coming weeks”

The long wait for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is finally ending this week for customers of T-Mobile’s HTC Sensation 4G. T-Mobile USA has updated its support forums to reveal that beginning on May 16 (Wednesday), a software update will roll-out to the Sensation. That update will be the long-awaited upgrade to Android 4.0.3.

There are two main camps when it comes what people prefer out of their document creation and editing apps: those who want the app to be tailor-made for the mobile experience, and those who want a familiar look that packs as much of a traditional format into the device as possible. CloudOn is geared for followers of the latter form of thought. CloudOn is a free Android 3.1 tablet app that offers free Microsoft Office document creation, viewing, and editing.

T-Mobile loses 510k contract customers, gains 187k net customers because of pre-paid

T-Mobile had a bit of good news, really bad news, and then some kind of good news in the first quarter of 2012. In its Q1 2012 earnings report, the nation’s fourth-ranked carrier revealed that it gained 187,000 net customers. That’s a big improvement on the 99,000 net losses during the same period last year.

Apparently, the Samsung Galaxy Note is good for more than just blowing people away with how good you can be in Draw Something. The S-Pen-powered, super-sized screen will prove to be an even greater combination when Samsung upgrades the device starting today.

Google+ UI refresh coming soon to Android with new “surprises,” seen already on iPhone

Google+ has undergone several changes since the dap debuted last year, and another one is in the pipeline. Google SVP of Engineering Vic Gundotra announced today that there would be design changes to the Google+ Mobile app coming soon.

Is T-Mobile looking to draft MetroPCS in merger? [RUMOR]

At least three times per calendar year, T-Mobile USA is rumored to be joining forces with another carrier in order to get out of fourth place. With the exception of the very real and ultimately unsuccessful attempt at hitching its wagon to AT&T , those rumors typically prove false.
